This thesis presents a novel approach for introducing change management into Information Security Management Systems (ISMSs). While a multitude of different kinds of changes are relevant for ISMS and their respective processes, this work focuses on the influence changing the asset landscape has on the security controls of the system. The main goal is to develop the specification of a tool that supports a change analyst in determining this influence and alter these security controls accordingly. Based on a preliminary literature review as well as researching the currently available tool support, a general process, functional requirements as well as relevant use cases of such a tool are presented. In order to be able to verify the proposed approach, it is implemented as an extension to the available ISMS tool ADAMANT. The evaluation of the proposed implementation confirms that the system supports a change analyst in discovering and dealing with security control changes that occur due to changes in the asset landscape.
