Zusammenfassung (Deutsch)

The prognosis of patients with multiple myeloma (MM) has considerable improved in the last decade owing to the implementation of novel drugs as proteasome inhibitors and immunomodulatory drugs into the treatment. Nevertheless, multiple myeloma is still incurable and new treatment strategies are indispensable.

For this PhD project, new marine compounds were made available from the biopharmacology company PharmaMar (Zeltia Group) and we identified such with potential anti-myeloma effects and putative antiangiogenic activities in vitro and in vivo.
